West Ivanhoe Sporting Club

West Ivanhoe Netball Club currently have Junior (U9, U11, U13, U15 & U18) teams playing in the Banyule & Districts Netball Association Competition at Macleod Stadium on Saturdays.

We warmly welcome new junior players of all ages and experience levels.

Training is currently held on Sunday and Monday afternoon and evening and Wednesday afternoons depending on the age group. Our club is very fortunate to have 2 outdoor community courts at our home at Seddon Reserve Ivanhoe, for training during daylight hours. These courts were built in 2017 with the support of Banyule Council and the significant fundraising efforts of all arms of West Ivanhoe Sporting Club; netball, football and cricket. We also have a few teams training later at night at Ivanhoe Primary school due to daylight constraints.

West Ivanhoe NetSetGo started in 2013 at the West Ivanhoe Sporting Club.

This program is a skills-based clinic that teaches young kids aged 5-9 how to play netball, whether it be just for fun and fitness, or in preparation for them joining a junior team.

Our program runs on Saturday mornings along with our Auskick football program. This is a great way to experience our fantastic family club in action. There's a weekly sausage sizzle, the canteen is open for coffee and snacks, and there is a playground to keep the siblings busy!

West Ivanhoe Netball Club's next NetSetGO program will commence in Term 2 2021.

Dates: 24 April to 7 August 2021 (Late enrolments are welcome!)

(Excluding school holidays and public holiday weekends)

Times: Saturday mornings 9:30-11am

Place: Seddon Reserve, 99 Green St, Ivanhoe (netball courts). (Map)

Cost: Only $110 which includes annual Netball Victoria registration and insurance, and a great participation pack that includes a ball and a t-shirt.

The program does not run on school holidays or on long weekends.

In 2021 West Ivanhoe Netball Club is very pleased to once again be fielding a senior netball team in the Northern Netball League (NFNL) competition. This competition is held on Friday nights at La Trobe Sports Centre or RMIT University, both in Bundoora.

We look forward to growing our participation in this competition, and providing a pathway for our older junior players.
